Coastal Water and Oil Spills

Marshall Islands, especially Majuro Atoll, serve as the international port allowing ships from all over the world. With increasing amount of transport, oil spill from ships are polluting coastal waters and habitat. Our department, along with Sea Patrol, Ministry of Transportation and Communication(T&C) and Majuro Atoll Local Government (MalGov), takes part in monitoring and investigating oil spill incidents within the nation.
